One of the most important fisherman colonies is located in Pântano do Sul beach. With a little more than 2 kilometers of extension, is full of bars and restaurants specialized in sea food. In some parts, the weak waves are ideal for family with children.

This beach is one of the richest fisherman colonies of the island with good restaurant options. Its sea is relatively trembling, but the waves are not that big with no risks for bathing. It is 31 kilometers distant from the center of the city and it has one of the archeological reservations of the state besides the swamp, what originates its name (Pântano do Sul = Swamp of the South). The sand is mostly moist and its zone is big.
